The tours and tickets themselves are compared across the Johannesburg tickets and tours pages, and the same rule applies to every one of them: an affiliate link never buys a placement, a rating or a recommendation. The short version

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you book a tour or a hotel through one, the platform pays us a small commission. The price you pay is the same as it would be without the link — the commission comes out of the platform's side, not yours.

The networks this site uses

GetYourGuide and Viator sell the tours and activities compared on this site — Soweto visits, Apartheid Museum combinations, Cradle of Humankind day tours, Pilanesberg safaris. Tour cards and the booking buttons on them link there with tracking that credits the booking to this site.

Expedia powers the hotel price and comparison cards on the hotels page. Hotel links from those cards are affiliate links too.

Stay22 builds the hotel-search links on the where to stay page. Those links open a hotel search for the area described, and a booking made through them earns a commission.

What never carries tracking

Links to official ticket offices — the Apartheid Museum's own ticket page, Constitution Hill's booking system, Maropeng's site — are plain links. We link them because buying direct is sometimes cheaper or the only correct way to visit, and that page earns nothing when you do. The same goes for the city's own services: the Gautrain, Rea Vaya, Johannesburg Tourism.

What a commission never buys

Ranking on a comparison table. Wording of a recommendation. Silence about a catch — a mandatory extra, a cancelled departure, a closed day.

The pages here name the official price first whenever one exists, and the honest verdict is the same whether or not a booking pays.
